Non UK New York - which gear?

Been there 3 times now, last time was August 2015 for 2 weeks....still didn't see it all! most used lens was the 17-40, buildings are high and streets are not that wide, especially Greenwich Village etc.... So a wide angle is a must. Used the 24-105 on occasion for street shots or mid zoom...

    Lens for Canon 1200 D

I would suggest going s/h.... More quality for less money, and you won't lose too much if you sell on. However, I understand wanting to buy new. I have had experience in a tamron 17-50 but not the 70-300, so can't comment.

    Lens for Canon 1200 D

The canon 55-250 will be an excellent add on to the 18-55. Are you buying new or s/h? If you can afford it, try and source a cheapish s/h 70-200 f4L instead, otherwise a 55-250 will suffice.

    First one printed professionally....

All framed and mounted on the wall. The guy used solid oak, 4mm glass and a hardwood backing and mount. It weighs a fair bit. I'm chuffed with it.

    Street photography cliches

90% of my stuff is street, I guess I'm fighting a losing battle then, as most that's wrong about it according to that site, I do on a regular basis. Haha.

    WifI boosters.. do they work?

I'm using Airport Express to boost the Wi-Fi network. Configured on a 5ghz instead of the normal 2.4, so the range isn't as good. Definitely works, as the 5ghz doesn't travel as far using just the router alone, so the boost to extend the network to the rest of the house and garden is a must for...
