Tried out the video mode on my D800 and 24-70 Nikon. When recording the video, it constantly kept picking up the lens autofocus sound constantly. Is it not recommended to use a zoom lens for video or are there lens that are more friendly to use for video?

I use a phototix Cleon II which I had bought for my D300s.. works brilliantly.

I just had purchased a sandisk card too..

Noticed the egg timer issue on mine.. The firmware is upto date so not sure what's going on there..

Awesome.. got my D800 and Nikon 24-70. Though it does feel a bit heavier though but I am sure I will get used to that. Couple of test shots and it gives stunningly sharp images... Look forward to spending time taking photos this weekend..

I just got my D800 and 24-70 Nikon f2.8 lens.. It is absolutely brilliant. I went from a D300s to this. I did not go for D600 as I found the body did not sit in my hand.. compared to that D800 feels a lot more comfortable... though slightly heavier.. couple of test shots and it show how much...

Well.. have taken the plunge and ordered the D800 and Nikon 24-70f2.8 lens.. Good price from Dixons Duty Free.. my brother in law was flying today so he ordered it thru Dixons. They will deliver it on Thursday to my home!!! Have also ordered the Meike Grip from Amazon. Should be getting it...

I am sure you may have done this.. does reformatting the card still cause this? Reformatting it in the Camera itself. Once done, does it still exhibit this issue?

Cool.. was that using their website or another offer?? Also, did you use Quidco? I think that gets you back 3%. I was thinking of price matching them with Jessops (if they do that) so that I can get 5% back.

Thanks for that.. Ahh its not the training manual that I am concerned about... it is weather Nikon UK will honour any issue like focus problems etc..

that was referring to used ones.. New ones are around £1930 at Amazon onwards.. I would assume that it is UK stock that they sell..
