The thread is about golf photography? I personally wouldn't be happy if someone started shooting at the top of my backswing. I'm inconsistent enough already so if I can blame something apart from my swing, I will ;) Although some camera shutters are quieter than others, even a quiet one...

Thanks :) the crop really was large, if you put a rule of thirds grid on the original, the moon doesn't even fill one of the rectangles! I do have a couple of shots at F8, but I was at 1/200 and ISO 100 and they came out a little blurred. I opened the aperture to get a faster shutter speed...

This is my first attempt at shooting the moon.. Canon 500D, 55-250mm lens. 1/800 @ F5.6, ISO 200, and a MASSIVE crop. 250mm is way too short to capture any real detail, although I think this looks ok for my first attempt :) Feedback gratefully received! IMG-2677.jpg by R1ch85, on Flickr

6Hrs of Silverstone Le Mans Series event is only £30 for the whole weekend Fri-Sun! That's probably as close as you'll get to F1 cars in terms of speed with the LMP1 cars there, and they look pretty spectacular too, but if F1 is your thing then it all depends on how much you're prepared to pay...

I've been watching the Tour de France on TV for the past few years and it seems that most press photographers use a flash to help freeze the action. If you're just standing at the roadside while they go past a flash may help get a sharp shop. Maybe 2nd Curtain flash but I'm no flash expert by...

I took my DSLR to PortAventura in Spain. I had it in a small camera only Lowepro bag, and had that inside my rucksack. On the big rollercoasters you can't take your bags on, but it gets put in a cage to the side of the ride and I made sure I got off the ride quickly at the end to reclaim it...

Amazon have Sandisk Extreme III 8gb Class 10 for £15 at the moment. They're usually alot more expensive than that. I've just ordered 2 myself.

It's not a Bentley ornament is it? Looks like there might be a 'B' at the front of the flying wing maybe. EDIT: Scrap that, it's definitely not Bentley
