    South-West England Bristol zoo?

+1, not worth a longish trip imo. Paignton Zoo is really nice though, although appreciate that's even more of a trek, but there are other photo opportunities down

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Has anybody moved from a Zf to a Z8 (and not moved back or wish they hadn't bothered)? I'm toying with the idea, for no good reason other than I have a good trade in price for my Zf and the cash back brings the Z8 into reach for me. Photography-wise, I'm no pro, just a bit of all sorts really...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

A raw file, straight from the camera is attached, taken yesterday, 75mm, wide open https://file.io/vP28sciK1t8r Looking in lightroom, it says the dimensions are 3984 x 2656 <- this is DX size, yes? Rear screen preview on camera gives same dimensions and says RAW L. I switched on the crop...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Yes, sorry Trevor, I goofed. It is indeed apsc. I'll try to get some samples up for people using the Zf, as I'm not seeing any fall off in coverage from the shots I've taken with it so far (admittedly only looking at rear screen, but at least a few were shot with extreme background lighting...

Anyone else have the Viltrox 75/1.2? I’m liking it so far - seems really great value

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Rather pleased with my new Zf received yesterday - have been setting up as per Thom Hogan recommendations and it seems to be head and shoulders above the other Z bodies I had in the past. The small rig grip makes it so much more comfortable as well. I got the kit version (with 40/2 SE) but...

    Lightroom subscription confusion ‍

Thank you so much folks -- yes, option 1 seems the best for me, and Classic is the version I'm used to. Good old Amazon again!

    Lightroom subscription confusion ‍

Hi All - I used to have a photography plan with Adobe a few years back, which included Lightroom (classic and online) and PS. It started to get very expensive so I cancelled it. The subscription models look like they've changed again in the meantime, and as I'm looking to get Lightroom again I...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I placed an order with my local LCE on 20th Feb, but it was mid-afternoon before I'd gotten around to it, and I was slated as being in the second batch by that point. I guess many have dropped out after getting from elsewhere or having second thoughts.

Thought I was going to be in the second or third allocation, but just had a call and picking up tomorrow

    Yep, my thoughts too

Both of those deposits are refundable by the way. Manager at my local LCE said there were about 40 paid deposits at about 1.30pm, which he said isn't considered high. Not sure if that's store specific or the whole of LCE. Anyway, he did say that the deposits were steadily coming in though...

Yes, my local LCE want £100 too. Clifton Cameras want a fiver (or at least wanted a fiver when I did at 6.30 this morning after the kids woke me up )

    Negative scanners

Just a little update here -- after doing a bit more digging, I picked up a Nikon Coolscan V ED yesterday. They seem to sit quite high up in the hierarchy of negative scanners as they have, amongst other things, a true optical resolution of 4000dpi. It has all the bits and bobs with it...
