Excellent idea for a thread! Often shoot alone due to not knowing anyone who is into photography but I would love to shoot with someone else :) Area : Plymouth/Devon (for the next few months then who knows!) Sex : Male Types of photography : Landscapes Photography dislikes : Not a fan of...

    Brand New Website

Thanks I'll take a look at the a and am bit. Seems proof reading is needed to be done better! Had a couple of friends read over but nothing was noted. Not sure about the contrast bit though... Yep, I agree! Thanks :) Hmmm the nav resizing is odd, I have viewed on a few different screens...

    Brand New Website

Thanks a lot Nigel :) I have made the changes now that you described. Truth be told I have changed the opening multiple times following various comments from other people. Still not a 100% sure about: "I'm a landscape photographer living primarily in the beautiful county of North Dorset and who...

    Monitors for Photography

Oh yeah stand I did see was only tilt adjustable, wasn't sure if you could buy another stand to replace the default one but then that starts to defeat the purpose of the cheap price. But for the me the lack of connectivity of no hdmi or Display port was the real deal breaker. None the less...

    Monitors for Photography

Just had a look at that monitor, looks good and has good reviews and for the price is awesome. My only issue is the fact that it doesn't have a displayport port and only a dual link dvi.

    Monitors for Photography

Had a look at both screens you linked to and the second one with the Sypder calibration certainly looks perfect and for the money its probably the best considering it includes the calibration stuff. Struggled to see any reviews on that actual model though. I have heard some great things...

    Monitors for Photography

Thanks for the reply guys! The Dells do generally seem to have some very good feedback from customers. I just seen the other thread similar to this one and see that I should try to get 27inch if I can. This years model of the 27inch is a bit out of my price range with the premier colour but...

    Monitors for Photography

Hi there, (mods please move if wrong location) Basically not really sure what the best photography monitor is to get. I can't spend anymore than £600 and really less than £500 is much better. I don't want anything larger than 27inch but I think something like 24inch will be better for my...

Hitech Pro 10 Stopper - Fixed!

Hello there! Just thought I would give some advice for anyone having problems with the Hitech Pro 10 Stop filter, well in terms of light leakage. I was getting really bad light leakage but I have managed to fix it now but just using some black fabric and sticking it to the gasket to make it...

Insight Video into Ansel Adams Processing Techniques

I came across this video earlier today and I have no idea if its been posted before or not but either way I found it really interesting! I think its fair to say if Ansel was around today he would probably be the master of photoshop :P...

How does one get such crisp landscape photographs?

But surely if you have everything in focus at F11 then that is going to be better than F16 isn't. Other than creating star burst or wanting a slightly longer shutter speed without the benefit of ND filters shooting at F16 would just be pointless compared to F11 or F9 etc (this is pending...

How does one get such crisp landscape photographs?

Don't see why you would need -0.3 exposure comp?????? Mirror lockup though, very useful (although i dont need/have it on my SLT camera but thats a different story). The setting will be somewhere in your menu's in your camera, look in the manual to find where. Mirror lockup will basically mean...
