    Ballhead Quick release plate

Hi, I am in trouble! Somehow I have mislaid the qr plate on my Sirui K-X Series ballhead, I wanted to photograph the amazing Supermoon the other night, and had to hand hold my massive 200-400 lens! If I'm still unable to find it, I will have to replace it, any clue as to what to look for would...

    (Canon) 50mm f/1.4 vs 35mm f/2

This answers a question for me too Dave, thanks. I have a 600D and love the 50mm 1.4, but as I'm upgrading to full frame ( 6D ) I think I am going to enjoy that gem of a lens even more! Concentration! par Primrose_girl ( trying to catch up! ), sur Flickr

    Eos 6d Owners Thread!

Me too Simon! I have the 600D and kit lens, also the 15-85 which would also have to go, as it would not fit the 6D. Look amazing though! Thinking I might put the lot on Amazon, and see what response I get! :-)

Canon 600D and the Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS USM?

Hi, I have the Canon 600D and the 15-85mm and it's a great improvement on the kit lens, the 17-55 has amazing IQ but is a bit too heavy for me. As others have said the 24-105 on your crop body will not have the width of the aforementioned, depending of course if you need that option.

    Upgrading, 7D or 6D

Thanks Wayne, I suppose thinking about it, it is a faster lens and also an L, has excellent reviews so maybe I should go for the 6D. Yes! :-) BTW, how are you liking the 6D?

    Upgrading, 7D or 6D

I want to upgrade my 600D and am toying with either the 7D or the 6D. I am drawn to the 6D, firstly because I would like to go full frame and it is lighter than the 7D, ( being a weak woman with small hands! )but I not only would have to sell the 600D but also my 15-85mm lens, which I'm very...

    Canon 300mm F4L IS USM

Thanks for all your advice guys. I think I will go for the 300, I do like to have IS as don't use my tripod very often. And as you say I can always get the 1.4 for the extra reach. I am very impressed with the IQ of your shots Peter, especially the close up of that leopard! :-) They have really...

    Canon 300mm F4L IS USM

Having purchased a canon 70-200mm f4 L IS and I have to say am thrilled with it! I want a prime with a bit more reach. I want to be able to carry it without a tripod and was wondering about the 300mm f4...I think the 400 will be a tad too heavy for me.
