    Professional Landscape Cameras

MF film is still great and not that costly if starting out - no upgrades needed, bodies and lens are very cheap, etc... however, the instant feedback on digital means FF canon / nikon are still the favourites. However, I'm still staggered that there isn't a lower cost MF digital released yet...

Take a view Landscape Photographer of the year 2016: Post your rejected images here

I'm going with Nick on this one. I had one shortlisted but it not one I woudl have thought woudl have been. Don't get me wrong - it a good image and I am proud of it, but the 'style' of it makes me think they are looking for particular as it's not my naromal look nor genre. The OPOTY I think...

    Polariser On Wide Angle Lens

but what if you've just spent £800 on a new lens....? putting a £25 filter on that will defeat the purpose. And that is why i spend all my money on photography stuff! :)

    Polariser On Wide Angle Lens

Polarisers are an essential bit of kit but as should be used in the right way. do avoid wide skies as it will rarely polarise evenly. however, after 24mm there are quite a few applications in wider views. It's great for cloudy days, detail, water, clouds in skies, etc.... One curious thing I...

    100m circular polariser

Does anyone know the main difference between the 100m Lee Landscape polariser and the standard circular polariser, other than the warming effect (I can correct this in PP)? There is such a massive price difference, is there a drop in the quality of the glass perhaps?

    should I upgrade or not?

My analysis on speccy had "4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz", so I took teh dual channel bit to mean it was 2 x 2GB... maybe a total novice error! I've looked up the motherboard which can only take 8GB max. I do have a legitimate copy and have been pesterd by microsoft for months to upgrade...

    should I upgrade or not?

Can I just say, everyone is very awesome here! Thanks for all your comments! I think that I'll bet this has got 2 x 2GB (by the looks of the below screen grab below) so I'll order 2x 4GB RAM and a new 256GB SSD. If thata doesn't make me happy then I'll get a custom build from mesh and just bung...

    should I upgrade or not?

I currently have a Medion PC running intel i5 650 3.20 GHz and 4 GB RAM (only 2.99 is usable seemingly). Performance on Lightroom 5 is ropey and PS even worse. As I'm looking to upgrade to LR 6 then I need to do something. I'm not that knowledgeable but have been doing my reading up and spec'ed...

    best canon 35mm

deeper consideration around exposure and filter usage for starters. it's more and excuse to slow down to be honest. Don't get me wrong - I am deeply into digital, but I think I need to just play around a bit more with the process of making a photograph and part of this is using different...

    best canon 35mm

I agree with pretty much everything you wrote here - i thik it will be similar to shooting with my DSLR in many ways. My objective iitially is to learn film again and all those things I have forgotten, such as exposure control without a histogram! I also want to bring velvia into my world having...
