I did the ten day one when I was due to leave the services, then all we worked towards was an LRPS. I have spoken to the staff numerous times since completion and they are happy for me to get the new qualification without doing the course again. Very polite staff and very helpful and the after...
It's true not many people hire a pro for a christening and it is also true that a lot of priests have had run ins with pros down the line and put the restrictions in place, I did 2 weddings in the same church, the first I was allowed to use flash the second I wasn't and his reason to me was that...
A lot of churches do allow flash at christenings, just not weddings. My kids are catholic and they have had christenings, communions and conformations in a lot of different churches and cathedrals and not once have I not been allowed to use flash and there are normally a lot of children and...
Graham, I too live in portsmouth and I did a course in bournemouth, a lit pricey, but worth every penny as they offer help and advice whenever you need it after the course as well. First point photography is the name of the place and they do have a website.

Used to have a lovely place in Gosport where I used to take the kids and watch foxes. Used to be about 40 at one time and never ran away, but they built a housing estate over the land and ruined it, shame really, lovely animals to watch.

this used to be Brooks school of photography. Paul Brooks is a very nice bloke and he teaches well and also has a good sense of humour, which makes the course fun. His staff are also very helpful.
According to NAPP, the only difference is that extended has the stuff if your into videoing. If its just photo and 3d the extended is no different, so would be better getting the standard.
Think you done the right thing. I have only done 3 weddings and they do get stressful, I have decided to only do them if I get asked. Have had a look at website and your Facebook page and your more than capable, but even the best wedding photographers need the information and planning time you...
The main thing is to protect yourself in this whole thing. What would they do if there was nobody to replace your friend. They would have to dig deep and get a photographer that would charge more. Don't think they would cancel the wedding, so just explain that you are not a pro and they get what...
If I was you, I wouldn't give them any photos they can use, just give them the proofs. Give them the amount you want to charge per photo plus your editing time etc and if they don't like it, tough. The £60 isn't enough to cover your time during the day (£10 ph). Have you made a contract? If they...
