Get yourself to Aldi and try a pair of neoprene fishing gloves with flip back thumb and index finger for a fiver, they're brill if you get a snug fit.

I agree with you totally re the file size they're just too large for many IMO as well, and yes that and the general lack of used bodies available is definitely keeping the prices of the D700 buoyant, but many of these bodies are three and four years old, I think after Christmas with more used...

Hi I've been chewing over buying a d700 as well, but Im of the opinion that used d700s are very overpriced right now. Im looking at the d800 and D600 now having found their market level at around 25 - 30% off of their respective launch prices and as you say a d600 can be had for a bit over £1400...

Bought my d5000 after an insurance claim but sold it after 5 months purely because I couldn't be arsed with trying to navigate the menus every time I wanted to change basic settings. I upgraded to a D7000 and I really do appreciate the extra button controls but unfortunately there still no auto...

Agree about the weight but they are only the same as most other alloy tripods, you do get a decent carry bag with an elasticated strap for carrying it about too. Theyre excellent value for money IMO:thumbs:

I'd have preferred this kind of style to the same old pose both my daughters school togs produced year in year out, I stopped buying them after their first year of seniors. Mind you I reckon if you asked a teenager to pose like that you'd probably get told to sling your hook:)

Hi Andy a gripped body is the budget answer, I don't know canon but started with a Nikon d5000 and it was a lovely little camera but I just couldn't be arsed with the menu based control. It wicked me so much that I upgraded within a short time to a used d7000 which go for 600-700 quid, (650 for...
