You are correct , the GPS remains on when the camera is switched off but the WIFI does not

Just what I did, you will see a massive difference to the 550d , I use the 6d with a 24-70mm also , mk1 version a cracking combo :-)

When you say distortion do you mean the vignetting ? , if you do ,check the lens aberration correction in the cameras menu for the lenses that you are using , i am currently using the 24-70mm mk1 lens and the correction wasnt enabled for my lens and the vignetting was very noticeable without it .

I'm using my 6d with the 24-70mm mk1 lens which is heavy , I have the battery grip and the E1 hand strap which is a brilliant combination , feels fantastic to handle :D

Hi , I've just bought a Walimex infrared trigger mainly for studio photography at my camera club , what I don't know Is , is it possible to set up my 430ex to be triggered by it , for use at home , I've tried but not sure if I'm setting it up correctly , all help much appreciated . :D

I'm afraid you'll have to get the RS-80N3, I was in the same situation when I went from the 550d to the 6d .... Not cheap this hobby :( , mind you I went the whole hog and got the TC-80N3 ....lol

correct , but if you do go genuine route then you might as well go for the genuine battery also , .... expensive hobby this photography lark :cool: :(
