I agree about the salesman comment but one has to trust someone.
The PhotoPlus review was the prompt for my Thread question as it was this lens that came top and that out of 10 lenses.
But I would still welcome comments on the relative quality and/or value of Tamron vs Sigma lenses.
I have a Canon 550D and want to add a 70-300mm lens.
All the reviews of telephoto zooms currently seem to favour the Tamron SP 70-300 Di VC USD but talking to my local Camera shop the guy says Sigma produce far superior lens in terms of picture and build quality and I should buy the Sigma...
I am interested in buying this Tamron lens for my Canon 550D so what is your opinion now after nearly 5 months use. Is it as good as you expected ? Would you buy a different lens given the opportunity? What other lens would/did you consider?
I would really appreciate your feedback.
