Thank you all. I don't like the look of the Maxtor. Does anyone know anything about the NESO - just seen it on amazon. Tesco are selling a few at the moment reduced from £67 to £44 - seagate one of them:shrug:.

Can anyone recommed a small (in size) portable hard drive. I like the look of the Western Digital but see someone suggested the Seagate -:help: I want 320GB and don't want to pay more than £70, thanks, Pip:)

Being new to this we are both experimenting in many ways and I think a tripod is a personal thing........I would certainly like to buy my own.........even though i barely know what I am doing, but thank you, I will take all advise, Pip

I think we have exhausted many books, tend to look at the photos and not digest the text so much, hence belonging to camera club! mags are better fun! We both read Am Photographer every week though. Pip

Magazine subs sound great! lens realise! Good idea.........will check out mags first. Never thought of lens care kit - I have one, but didn't give it a second thought - great idea! We are so enthusiastic it is hard to know where to start, thank you all, Pip:)
