hi all am looking to buy secondhand dslr and question often asked is how many actuations camera has what does this mean .i,m guesing something to do with amount of shots camera has taken,if so what is a low figure and what is considered a high figure:thinking:

hi all at the moment i have a compact and it says 6x optical zoom ,but changing shortly to dslr but am confused by lenses being in mm how do you no what you are buying: as in magnification:help:

hi all have decided to take the plunge and try to get to grips with photography at the moment have a fuji finepix s7000 ,which seems ok but just wondering whether to upgrade to canon slr probably d300 or 400 will i notice much difference p.s(mainly wildlife and landscapes):cool:
