SSD is a BTO option on the MBP too. 128, 256 or 512GB.

SSD is only option on MacBook Air, so can't see it's an issue.

With the hybrid, my boot time is 25 seconds, Apps are pretty much instantaneous, Photoshop ready for use in six seconds.

I just installed the Momentus XT mentioned here, it really works very well. Everything is faster and snappier, without the cost or size restrictions of a full SSD. It's a 7200rpm drive with 32MB cache, so it starts well, even before the 4GB flash...
