Yup, just a quick clone and heal then ran it through Noiseware. Could do a lot better with a high-res scan as I've not got the detail round the wheel rim quite right

What camera are you putting it on? I don't usually have a problem with the AF speed with it on my D300 when I'm shooting football games. It's not as rapid as the Nikon70-200 VR (obviously) but it's certainly very usable, especially when you consider the optics which are extremely good.

Considered the Tamron?

If you're worried about noise I'd steer clear of the D3X. It's not a problem at low ISO but as you start to push higher it creeps in a lot faster because of the higher pixel density (or something like that :thinking:)

I'm torn between the 2! For the small extra cost I reckon I'd be better going for the big one but I can't help but feel that it might be a tad too big for most houses...

That's a bit of a relief then! I was getting worried I'd be without it for weeks. It should only take an extra day once it's fixed to get it back to me, I've got nothing but praise for the quality and speed of Warehouse Express' customer service.

I've recently been having some troubles with my Tamron 70-200 f2.8 and its focusing. The focus ring started to get really stiff at closer ranges and it got so bad that the motor wasn't powerful enough to shift it. I rang up Warehouse Express who I bought it from and they sent a courier to pick...
