    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

I had a g6 for a couple of years and loved it. More of a prime user myself though. But the 14-140 when used with g6 was great for an all in one travel lens. And it’s light for the reach it gives you. I did upgrade to a g80 after that and appreciated the better viewfinder, IBIS and even the sound...

    Fuji 35mm f1.4?

I’m personally a fan of the 35mm f2. It’s smaller, lighter, weather resistant, quicker to focus and quieter to focus. Although, I appreciate some people may prefer the rendering of the 35mm f1.4. I’ve also got a Brightin Star 35mm f0.95 for ultra shallow depth of field producing some ethereal...

What do you suppose the facial expression here is saying? I’m thinking, “what are you looking at me for?” or “I didn’t do it.”

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

I found out what the issue was. With lenses that have no electronic connections, not only do you have to switch focus peaking on in the menu, but you also need to assign it to a function button. Switching it on in the menu means it’ll operate for lenses with electronic contacts when in manual...

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

I have the older version without electronic connections. I’ve got manual focus on and focus peaking, but it’s not working. So I’m thinking, with my camera which is much older, that the focus peaking only works with lenses that have the electronic connections. I’ll try again later with an oly...

Hi. Quick question for any Olympus e-m5 ii users. Does focus peaking only work for electronic lenses? I’ve just been out with the Laowa 7.5mm and noticed that although I had focus peaking switched on, there was no focus peaking visible through the viewfinder. Fortunately, it was ultra wide so...

Duracell lithium batteries usually don’t hold up compared to other brands. The best third party batteries I’ve used are Hahnel. I’ve never had any issues with those. I used to work in a camera shop and PC World sold Duracell batteries as part of a bundle with their cameras. In our shop we’d...

Thanks. As much as I’d love an OM3, I can’t justify the price for the use it’d get from me. I’ll be selling the gx9. But looking at the EM5 range and trying to determine if the newer sensors would be worth it.

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

Anyone on here still rocking the original E-M5? I’ve been using an IR converted one a lot recently and it seems to function just fine. So I’ve been looking at getting one that isn’t IR converted. It seems we’re looking looking at circa £200-250 for one in good condition. Or am I better off just...

Thanks for the input. I actually owned a g80 for a few weeks, but ended up having to return it for being faulty. It was secondhand though, so possibly not treated well before I bought it. If I remember rightly it was something to do with the screen going black after taking a photo. It would...
