I love my 7d, I also have the 70-200 2.8 and its a great match up, you will just miss the ISO performance of the 5diii both the 7d and the 7dii leave abit to be desired with the iso performance in my experience. If you shoot at 100-400ISO then you should be fine

ISO performance for me is the only consideration now AF and 2fps are not worth the extra £1000 over a 7d unless the ISO bump is good. If its pretty much the same, I cant say £1000 for the AF and 2 extra fps is worth it I dont think Pete

My old D300s was serviced under warranty with Nikon UK and it was brought by my step dad who I neither share a name or address with I just had to provide them with the receipt and it never got questioned

That's dissapointing I don't like having to take my forefinger off the shutter release to change a setting like that. Nikon have that better so you can change it on the fly quickly :( Pete

Hmm that seems to allow you to change the option for shooting in manual mode. But I can't find any way of getting that main wheel on the back to control shutter speed in TV mode or aperture in AV Anyone got a tip for me? Even if it is that it cant be done? Pete

Hi Guys, I have recently sold off all of my Nikon gear and swapped over to Canon (I can hear both cries and cheers in the background right about now) and need a little bit of help. While playing around with my new toy I was trying out varying modes and options but one thing continued to bug me...

I have and use the 18-70, a super little lens, not expensive and takes pretty good pics. I would only get rid of mine for a 17-55 F2.8 and only then if I found one going cheap Peter

I can vouch for these as well, I have the 1tb version for backups Solid as a Rock

when i am about in london i take a 28 and a 17-70 :) if that helps, find that the 17-70 stays on mine almost all the time due to the streets being quite narrow the wider the better :)

I sed to be in exactly your position, taking pics of football and airshows in often less then ideal lighting. I also had a D2h with a 70-300 F4.5-5.6 Personally i found that my glass was a little short so I went with a new body and picked up a D2x as I managed to get one without parting...

Been there done that, when the Red arrows did a low level pass at Biggin hill in formation with a Virgin 747..... argh

Have to say i was faced with this decision about 3/4 weeks ago, D300s or D700 For me I do mainly sports and airshows, for this the crop is needed really or you are in kidney selling grounds for lenses to get the length The cost of getting high end FX glass just put me off, I couldnt do...

I use 7dayshops Nikon ones for my D300s, I know different batteries but own brand work well :)
