    Afflicted by GAS again...

I was gifted some money for my recent birthday. WEX sent me a £20 off if I spent £150 offer.. What harm can it do to see what's knocking around my nearest WEX? No harm at all.

Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Photo Printer

Just aquired one, little used (still has the plastic protection on the LCD and buttons. Came for a nearly full triple pack of paper/ink. It's doing exactly what I wanted, wee prints to give to family & friends. For serious or larger prints I outsource or use my ancient but venerable Canon...

    If you could only...........

FP4 Plus, in D76/ID11. A lecturer at university discusses this in his book. I've tried all manner of films and developer combinations and keep coming back to FP4 Plus in D76/ID11 Although, Ilford Delta is growing on me. I have been through TriX and TMax. Both great films but pricey now.

Did you know 007 used an air pistol?

My mother had the same model Walther, shot it competitively in the 1960s. Upgraded to a Hammerli Gasmaster, then a Feinwerkbau 66. Currently shooting a Hammerli which looks like something from Star Wars.

The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

It has been many days since my last confession. This week I purchased a BlackRapid sling strap. That's send me down the rabbit-hole of looking at their back-pack strap.

Gear failure? How many have had it happen?

That would have been either Cameratiks, or JP Camera Repair Co, Edinburgh. I can't remember exactly.

    Calibrated Monitor

I calibrate mine using this, I'm fortunate that it's part of my day job tool bag. There's a rubber attachment (oo-er missus) which contacts the monitor surface so the Jeti is only seeing light radiating from the monitor, stray room light is not measured. The Jeti is about £5k's worth of...

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” Don McCullin

    4x5 pinhole

This was my first foray into pinhole, and in 5x4. It's my neighbour's house, from our decking. I was quite astounded TBH!

Another big metallic object followed me home today.

I got the enlarger, carriers and a lens for 5x4, £150 The floor stand, cost me some diesel and an hour chatting for a very knowledgeable friend. I've got a LPL6700 and a MPP Envoy. I think both of those will go once I get the 504 going. I also have my late father's Gnome Beta II, That's not...

Another big metallic object followed me home today.

It's the drop stand for the DeVere 504 enlarger which followed me home previously :)
