Spring is here on the island :) My first shot of a big insect with my 150-400. Very happy with the results. Cannot wait for Dragonfly season to start.

yeah thats what ive done but i was wanting to use that custom mode for something else. it seems daft i cant assign it to a button imo. or maybe hold down the drive button and turn the wheel to select through the drives like you can with detect modes.
Just checking with anyone with a om1 mkii but is there anyway to have procapture set to a button? At the moment I have it set to one of the custom modes but really want to use that mode for something else. I assumed i would be able to set it to a custom button and put it on my custom mode...
Grey Plover today on om1 mkii and 150-400 plus inbuilt tc. I still cant get my head around how such high ISOs can clean up so well without losing too much detail. This was at iso8000.
In my old Canon days i wouldn't have even lifted the camera to this bird in the bad light.

Feels like the first time I've needed to zoom out with the 150-400 today as some Coots came out of the water to feed on the grass and I didnt want to move and disturb them.
This was at 378mm with the om1 mk II.

Managed to get out end of the day today and saw the Great Northern Diver thats in a local harbour. Annoyingly the sun was behind a hill but luckily iso 6400 cleans up nicely with OM shots. :) OM1 Mkii + 150-400mm

I have both om1 mki and ii. I used the mki from launch then got the mkii march this year. I knew the gap between the two wasnt that great which is why i never got the mkii originally but i needed a second body and the mkii was 1200 new. A second hand mk i would have been 900 ish so it was a...
Another from my eq 1400mm test the other week. (150-400mm + inbuilt tc + 1.4tc handheld). Its well cropped in as well. Considering its only a 20mp sensor, its useable. Difficult and time consuming but useable if desperate I think

I mentioned testing the 1.4tc on the 150-400mm with the inbuilt 1.25tc engaged. This was one from that testing.
Its come out ok but I don't think i would use that combo unless desperate because of distance. The hit rate was very low with that combo especially handheld.

Took the day off because there was sunlight. So here is a Purple Sandpiper that stood in the shade because the sun was behind a castle... :ROFLMAO: om1 mkii + 150-400mm with TC engaged.

Yep. Never thought i would be able to afford one but at their price and getting 1200 for my 300mm . It was something i thought was worth the risk. I didnt really miss zoom i didnt think before going for the 150-400 (i had the 100-400 before the 300) but then i think back to dragonfly season...
