Thanks all - its actually the post production effect I'm after. I can do the stitching of other objects etc it's more the heavy contrast look that gives the image an almost 'drawn' look.
Thanks for the posts anayway
Anyone know how this look was done? Looks like lots of dodging and burning & some desaturation etc but it has almost a look of a pencil drawing. Any tips very gratefully received. Feel free to point me in the direction of a tutorial :)...
Have just checked again and definitely worse on the D800 so maybe it is a resolution issue? Perhaps needs to invest in a replacement to go with the new d800
Hi. Thanks for the replies. It is on both the d300 and d800 so not a resolution issue so its sounding like a fault for sure. It's not a focal point issue, the focus is just off (even with small apertures).
I'm using the 1.8D which are not pricy so may not be worth taking it in for repair?
I have a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 prime lens which I've always loved. The auto focus has gone out on it though (always a little soft) and its not a problem with the focal point, it genuinely is just off on the focus.
Anyone know a way of correcting this? I use a Nikon d800 and d300s in case that...

I'm using CS5 - anyone know how to do this?/ Get...
Hi - thanks for the responses, there are loads of images and they're all pretty different so not sure an example would have helped (but wouldn't have hurt I suppose). Thanks 'TheDrift' wasn't 100% sure what you meant but have read up and employed this technique to good effect. Top tip, thanks!!
Hi all
Working on some images and the model has awful skin.... I mean really bad, but she's an incredible striking girl with amazing features. Having to retouch the skin so much though that no matter how I do it it's looking too fake and over done.
Have Googled and there are loads of...
I'm a Nikon man but assume Canon's must have a continuous focus mode too. Select continuous and then use self timer to get the shot. A remote would do the job too
Looking to find a way to display images on my mac as I shoot (use Nikon bodies). Don't need to control the camera from the mac, just want them to display as I shoot.
Is Camera Control Pro 2 the best way of doing this? Its quite pricey and don't need most of the features, I just want them to...
