I have both lenses and the 1.4x (sold the 2x, not overly impressed) is excellent on either. The 150-600mm is a cracking bit of kit, balances on my X-H2 bodies much better than the 100-400mm and even though they weigh almost the same it 'feels' lighter. No zoom lens creep and focus is faster...

Stu I don't know what size camera/lens you have, but as you are looking at the GT4552/3, it would suggest that you need a reasonably sturdy tripod. Those are brilliant, but bloody heavy tripods and even heavier once a head is on. I have the slightly lighter Systematic GT3543LS but that too is...
