    Another OMG WHAT BAG thread

I just got a flipside myself, very impressed and it's certainly secure.

    Fake Hoya Pro 1 filters?

Am I right in thinking the difference between Kenko & Hoya Pro 1 is just in the coating of the glass, with the glass being identical?

Just got my new Crumpler Muffin Top 7500

Got mine the other week - I was impressed with it, until the first time I took it out properly to use it the buckle broke and wouldn't undo! I had to get a pair of pliers on it and had to just use the velcro strap, which I soon found out was not really sufficient to hold everything in place, to...

    shooting at matches

Just spoke to Edgbaston cricket ground, basically they flat out said "no" to taking in a decent camera. Bit frustrating that. I used to take my 400D to games (with smaller lenses) but now i've got a bit better camera and lens (70-200 f/4 L) it sounds like I won't be able to get in the...

    shooting at matches

Is it worth me contacting the grounds themselves in the case of games like ODI's and ashes tests? I'm going to Edgbaston next week for the ODI there and again in July for the 2nd day of the Ashes test.

    shooting at matches

Yeah I figured even at 400 I would struggle, but I don't think I'll get much more than that without a tripod! :( Yeah that's my worry - well that and the fact I'd be spending £60 to hire the lens out! I think I may have to give it a miss :(

    shooting at matches

Digging up this thread because i had a couple of questions. I'm planning on taking some shots of some of the twenty20 world cup games this summer and I was wondering what people's thoughts are on whether i'll be OK or not? I was looking at hiring out a 100-400mm L lens as well to assist me...

    Tripod Dilema...

Signed up recently :) Those Gitzo's certainly seem like a bargain! I hadn't really looked at them before but the GT2330 and GT2340 both seem to be good value there, now i need to figure out whether they fit what i'm looking for!

    Tripod Dilema...

I did really want something i could use for longer exposures as well rather than just a monopod type job. Cheers for that, I'll check it out

    Tripod Dilema...

I'm looking for a tripod for my gear and I'm torn between several options! I'll be using it for mostly outdoor work, mainly for hiking, so weight will be an issue. So far I've found several options that each seem to have pros/cons: Manfrotto 190CX series Rednsapper Redsnapper Carbon I...

Just got my new Crumpler Muffin Top 7500

Excellent - sounds perfect, I was looking for something I could take to things like cricket matches so room for sarnies is always a bonus :)

Just got my new Crumpler Muffin Top 7500

thanks :) The slingshot does look a good bet actually - I was originally looking at one some time ago. I'll probably end up with 2 bags - but that's not the end of the world! edit - I just realised something, have I stumbled into a world of fellow east-midlanders? :)

Just got my new Crumpler Muffin Top 7500

Thanks Nick :) I might get a smaller one as well just to use when I don't need all my lenses.

Just got my new Crumpler Muffin Top 7500

bit of a thread bump - I was looking for a bag for my camera and bits and I was wondering if this would fit the bill. It needs to carry: Canon 40D + 17-55 IS f2.8 70-200 L f4 1.4 x extender Plus a few other accessories. I get the impression this will comfortably do the job, but I was...
