I think physical handling of the cards is the biggest threat since my fingers are clumsy, my pockets are many, are big and have holes.
32GB is more than enough for a single shoot (for me) and once a shoot is over, an instant backup is done to save my bacon.
Over the years I've had one CF...
I'm jealous, well when I covered the UCI Mountain Bike finals in Fort William I had the 24-105mm and 100-400mm with me, results below. But I wished I had slightly faster lenses as especially along the forest track it was pretty dark!

About time they get forced to become more up-front about the charges. That said...:
I fly Ryanair all the time, best deal was a no airport taxes deal to Milan for four people at a grand total (credit card charges mainly) of £60. Parking the car at the airport cost almost the same... Flights for...
Well, let me check out a couple of my CF purchases...:
1) Oct 2010. 48MB CF @ £160 (http://www.photobyove.com/blog/?page_id=37) for a 2 megapixel camera
2) March 2010. 32GB CF @ £80 for a 17 megapixel camera

I got my 60D from ebay seller "digigood"...

I've always been a Sandisk man but now my main card is a Transcend 32GB 400x (various Sandisk Extreme IV and Ultra II as backups). Bad memories of losing a 4GB card at a night-time event and a bent CF pin in an Ixus is enough for me to deliberately try to avoid having to change cards during a...
Enjoy the camera, whether it says "Rebel" or "550D" won't matter as long as you're taking pictures with it. Too bad the seller thinks UK consumer law with regards to warranty doesn't apply to him...
