It might not be much help but my Nikon 85 f1.8g is sharp right through. There is either a problem with your copy (I hate that term) or your camera needs some fine tuning adjustment for the lens. Never had an issue with CA with this lens though.

I had similar problems to this on twin eizos. I changed the cables for better quality cables and haven't had a repeat episode. Having said that, it could be down to the graphics card.
