red is probably due to the orange street light producing whats known as "light pollution" which turns the sky a weird orange colour. for successful nights shots try and search for white lights, or change your white balance to compensate for the red/orange glow.

can i please point your attention towards this? this shows how makeup, photographers direction and even lighting or pose can age a girl older or younger.

thanks everyone. its a bit late in the stage for the first shoot. but as the first one is for very close friends i dont see a problem in accepting this. (and the guy did give me an opportunity to shoot the red arrows!!) the others i shall send them an estimated cost and see what they say.
easiest way to PP it is to go into photoshop. grab the burn tool and set it to highlights. this should bring down the glare. theres much more complex and BETTER ways to do this. but thats one of the easiest ways

in your exif data, or you should know what you shoot if you're shooting manual?
dont know how to access the exif data, but if you use flickr, when you upload your pics it tells you all the info on there
