Hi, I have a Canon 500D with the stanard 18-55mm lens. I'm off to NY soon and would love a wide angle lens but funds don't really permit. Is there any kind of lens I can clip/screw onto my existing lens to create a wide angle lens? Thanks, Nick.

Is that just a filter with part of the lens darkened? I'm assuming that you line up the gradient with the horizon? Thanks Edit - What mm filters do I need?

Not too sure TBH! A bit of everything really! Although looking at Macro photos, I'll definitely have to invest in a macro filter/lens!!!
