Very unusual camera - Zenit PhotoSniper FS-3

similar... the Zinit from the photosniper outfit has a spiggot on the bottom which includes the shutter linkage so that you can 'fire' a shot using the pistol grip trigger, but otherwise its the same body.

Very unusual camera - Zenit PhotoSniper FS-3

I didn't realise that, I presume the thread on these lenses is T-mount then, since my T-mount adaptor (from my 500mm mirror lens) fits nicely.

Very unusual camera - Zenit PhotoSniper FS-3

i'm not so worried about its worth, but it just seems a shame to ebay it off for parts since its a complete and immaculate set. do you not think it has any collectable value? if not one went the other day for about 50quid plus shipping, so that could well end up being its fate :D

Very unusual camera - Zenit PhotoSniper FS-3

I have been asked to find out about a very unusual Russian Zenit Camera. The item in question is a Zenit PhotoSniper. This is a modified Zenit ES which was sold with a 300mm Tair prime lens, and a Helios 58mm F2. The lenses are M42, so with a corresponding T-mount they will pretty much fit...

windows users - was just doing a quick search and stumbled upon this: http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/tools.aspx i know MS had a very basic tool before, but that seems to have been discontinued, looks like this is the new version. does anyone know if GIMP has EXIF editing tools?

    Exif Copyright Data

another avid lightroom user here, but i'd be interested to know of another tool for updating large batches of files. surely there must be a opensource/freeware lightweight app to do this...or perhaps someone could write one.... no point re-inventing the wheel, so shout out if you know of one

Calling All Pentax & Samsung Users!!!!!!!

yes, i am. you can pick up some fantastic lumps of glass for a few quid as long as your happy to go manual. i found it helps the learning process if you have to set your AV by hand, then hit the green button. it helped me get my head round the relationship between T & A

Live View - How does it work?

Can anyone explain to me how live view works on the current line up of cameras... does it use the sensor, in which case, how does the curtain or the mirror fit in to the equasion, or is there an aditional sensor at the bottom like the af sensors, or is it up near the prism. if its an...

Calling All Pentax & Samsung Users!!!!!!!

I love my pentax, i have always loved pentax, but if i was buying again, i would definatly be considering the samsung. You get more for you money, as well as the cash back deal there were (still are???) running, you get a 2 year warranty, as opposed to pentax's 1 year. i'm not so fond of the...

Calling All Pentax & Samsung Users!!!!!!!

i'm with you in here! last august i upgraded from the K100 to the K10 (before that it was a pentax 35mm MZ-50), I am thrilled to bits with the K10, and the few subtle updates (as well as the pixel count) have made this a fantastic body, and I assume the k20 is just the same again. will you...
