Well 550D is down to £486 making it not much over £450 mark which is not bad at all for a UK body.

10D is capable but I really think it's worth investing the little extra into a 20D as that not only boasts 2MP extra but also the ability to use EF-S lenses (perhaps biggest selling point) and also improved E-TTL II flash metering and USB 2.0.

Can also picked up a 20D from £120 upwards if that tickles your fancy.

By real cameras I presume you mean all dedicated cameras, be they compact, bridge or DSLR? Kind of not surprising really as phone cameras have moved on a lot over last couple of years so are now eating into the compact market.

Here's mine: My SS is clearly a mind reader as I needed a smaller lightbox to complement my big light tent for product photography!
