I sympathise... I upgraded to a D300s recently, not knowing that none of my software would open the NEF files. There's nothing (not much??) that a large cheque won't fix.

I don't know Corel, but for the average togger (I include myself) - & rom what I can see from a quick looksee, go for elements. There's not much that I want to do that elements can't do quickly & reasonably easily.

I upgraded to a 300s recently. I've now got Capture 2.2.3 up & running again with the NEF files... I really like NX2 for quick'n'easy twiddling. It's sooo easy to use. I keep Adobe only for really special shots. To be honest, I don't get too many of them !!

What software came with it? Nikon Capture NX is very good & dead simple to use, but it doesn't come with UK-purchased cameras.
