My other half's grandma had this and two others cameras tucked away in a draw. Anybody any idea how to unlock the mechanism so that it will fold back in? Have tried Google but haven't had any luck, so thought here would be a good place to ask.

Can't you carefully steam a section of it off the wall? Stick that in a frame and you'll have the original and not a photo.

If it's the family shot, in profile, you'd need each image on a separate layer. Mask the layers so that you have faces showing, reposition images to get them how you want, merge layers, adjust levels, etc.
Do you have the individual shots already?
Fair enough, but you'd just use the software that came with the camera in that case, which would support the raw files produced by the camera. My reply was about someone unable to use Abobe software because it was older than the camera they had.
