Exactly the same for me. My brother has the 550, it's a nice camera but for me the build quality and feel of it was way below my D90.

The software installed on my Mac Book Pro but won't display any RAW files and occasionally hangs so I have to force it to quit. Works perfectly on Windows 7.

Looks like a good course, I might have to venture from London for a weekend course in the new year :).

A quick question from me as I'm getting closer to signing up for this course.... Does doing this course enable you to buy software at educational prices?? (Photoshop CS5 for £180!) Thanks :)

I'm another that has found this thread and now has an interest in this course! :) Is it suitable for relative new comers or are there better courses to do to get up to speed before doing this one??

Well I get round the problem by adjusting the brightness slightly, and a bigger adjustment of the Shadow Protection setting. Wasn't perfect but better than it was. Thanks for the replies, and I will indeed spend some time setting up my monitor correctly :).

I'm using a Canon IP5000 printer, and I don't have the profiles installed (well I haven't installed any anyway). Typically, I don't have a great deal of time. It's something that I need to sort out properly, but as with most problems, I'm in a rush.
