    The Stop Down Button

Thought you might like to see my Contax II that came back from a CLA (much more than that really) today. Thank you Ed Trzoska for the fabulous work. 1936 - it has aged well.

Want to get back in the game, compact FF?

I think handling them is a really good idea. The Zf definitely isn't compact like some of the Fujifilm cameras but I find it to be just fine. I added a grip for the days when I am carrying it on my wrist strap for more than a few hours which helps otherwise a PD sling is my go to strap. Good...

Want to get back in the game, compact FF?

Nikon Zf with the 40mm se lens. Bigger than the Fuji of course but gives you FF, dials and a 'pancake' lens.

    Unusual Mirror less camera

You had a fine collection of cameras and parts. I remember you showing me this one; you've done a lovely job rescuing it Ian.

    DxO Pure Raw 6

I haven't used this software before but after taking some photo's at a show last night an error in my settings led to me shooting some at iso 51200 I figured I would try it. Downloaded the free trial and tested it on one of the images. WOW! I still need to adjust the white balance but this...

    Large(ish) Printing Options UK

I've used TradeCanvasPrints and been really impressed with their work (that was just for canvas). I've used Whitewall for regular pints for exhibiting and they are very good too. Not the cheapest.

    eBikes (Open thread)

I'm looking at the Swytch add-on option for my hybrid for later this year. Front wheel drive as the back is a hub and belt arrangement. I'm not a big cycling fan but my wife enjoys it so it would be a way for em to accompany her without all the effort of constant peddling. A repaired torn...

    5x4 Negative

I use the Epson 3200 and it does a fine job. If I shot something that I thought needed every last pixel (say it was being printed really large) then I would just take it to a professional lab. Haven't done that yet and have printed up to A3+. I use the V500 for my 120 film and a Nikon Coolscan...

    Shooting with Rear LCD?

I use the EVF on my Zf almost all the time unless the angle of the shot precludes it. It has a nice soft rubber cover so I don't worry about my glasses getting scratched or marked. I tend to treat it more like a film camera, turning the screen around so no image is seen. If I was shooting...

    OM-1: Convince me I Don't Need it

You don't need it! Maslow says so and I put a lot of value in what he said. YMMV

Harman Switch Azure. Now available to purchase.

I'll support anything they bring out. Maybe find out more at the Photography Show?
