Just wondering, what to people feel is the best way to structure folders and name files? My context (don't want to name names) is that I shoot *sports team* specifically (as oppose to shooting a variety of different teams) and that team has a 1st team, a 2nd team a women's team and a youth team...
I've changed over to PM completely (from lightroom) for ingesting, captioning and cropping and colour matching. But there's still one annoying problem in the workflow. Adjusting exposure. Now I will with practise get better at nailing the exposure in the first place but for the time being is...
Bit misleading Anders to say those photos were taken with no light since you used a flash for all of them :)
I have to say to the contrary the 7D's biggest weakness seems to be low light situations. It doesn't seem to be a patch of either the 1DIII/IV or the 5DII in terms of low noise. I find...
Aha, cheers. Also to clarify realised after reading through old threads that the text expansion stuff isn't PM itself but external software. Definitely answers my OP really versus doing it all in lightroom which is a nightmare compared.
I have searched and found some threads, it was more of a question of is there something out there that I would miss otherwise. I could sift through a hundred threads all over the internet but if there's one really good one that people know about then it would be good to know. I'm not just being...
Shots a lot of basketball too especially at Uni BUCS level and while the crowds are great you couldn't just focus on that. It's different over there though the culture of sport is about everything aswel as what goes on on court. And the photos did look good so fair enough, it obviously sells.
Quite impressed with PM in terms of workflow, can now see why its so popular! are there any threads or online resources to learn more about it though? It's obviously very powerful but not very accessible straight off the bat (as it were ;) Particularly about the shortcuts for captioning, can't...
a 80-200 2.8 would be a great lens for panning shots etc. However they are very pricey, best to try with a 70-300 or something first and see. It's a lot of money to spend if you change your mind (500-1000 second hand)
Ponds Forge in Sheffield is a fantastic pool to shoot at but they only put on all the lights for the finals, never in the heats. Don't know if it's for energy saving reasons or increased spectacle or what. Point is f4 isn't going to cut it. Though you might want to look into something like the...
