Interesting to hear your views on flash as I too worry about the inappropriate use on animals and birds. I was at a couple of country shows recently and was concerned at the number of spectators using flash near showjumpers and also very concerned about flash being used near raptors at falconry...

RE- postage problems- I live in Aberdeenshire and recently had problems paying on Ebay as I clicked buy it now and wanted to pay instantly with Paypal. A message came up saying the seller didn't post to Highlands and Islands and unless the Shire has moved we are in neither!

Not really needing another bag but it looks useful so may have to think about it:)

We thoroughly enjoyed the show on Sat and I managed to take lots of shots inbetween the showers. Just got to sort them out now!

After a great variety of cars over the years the Honda CRV is the best:)

Interesting thread as I do feel, as a newcomer to photography, a bit uncomfortable with candid shots of people. I have just completed a short college based course and one of the tasks was to go out and take shots of people in the street. I suppose I found it hard it's because I wouldn't like...

I agree as there are fewer shops where you can go and actually see the goods before you buy them. I suspect the writing is on the wall for a lot of local shops now.

Would be good to know for certain. I'll try to find out from a local mothman!

I carry a transparent shower cap for covering my camera in the rain:)

Only tried camping on the west coast many years ago and had to give up and go to a B&B because of midges despite spraying the tent etc. Definately have a plan B but do have fun and enjoy your week.
