Yeah that's my main worry; almost 1.5m wide to give 20cm tall; just not sure that it works so well! Hopefully someone with a panoramic brain will be along shortly...
I've taken this panoramic photo and i'd quite like to stick it on a wall somwhere but i'm concerned about the ratio of length:width. It's currently 7:1 which I think might be a bit much so i was wondering:
Is there a particular ratio that works well for panoramic photos?
If it should be...
If anyone's interested in cars and rallying and trees, its the Wyedean Rally on Saturday, more details here:

I'm not trying to sell it but I thought some people might be interested. Also after some advice: I was thinking about going down and spectating with...
I've just bought one of these for my D40 and it seems quite good:

The di466 might be worth a look too (and a bit cheaper).
Get yourself down to Lydney harbour in the next couple of days. Low tide and sunset coincide (ish) meaning that the mudflats get exposed to the low sun and fantastic colours that brings. I went down tonight and it was great. Got there 3pm, sunset approx 4.20pm and it was a good hangover cure...
I tend to do mostly landscape photograph but some candid stuff if i'm at weddings etc. I currently use the pop up flash on my D40 but wondered (what with Christmas coming and all that) whether to get a proper flash. I was looking at a Nissin one which the nice man in the shop advised was fine...
Well today was pretty good, sun came out and there is plenty of colour in the trees. I'm no horticulturalist but i reckon there is better to come from Westonbirt this autumn though. I wasn't disappointed and there were loads of cameras about so i think you'll enjoy it if you go sometime...
I'm off to Westonbirt Arboretum tomorrow to hopefully get some nice shots with the autumn colours etc. I've not done anything like this before so any hints/tips will be much appreciated. I'll be using a Nikon D40 with circular polarizer and figured that my 18-55mm lens might be more suitable...
Thanks guys, help is much appreciated. Likely to be down there Tue/Wed so will miss the airshow (unless I pop down again at the end of the week).
Cheers,
Mintman
I went mountain biking in the quantocks last year and get chased down a hill by a pack of them pulling a sled. They say that fear is brown and comes in pants and i'd be inclined to agree.
Either way i stopped at the end and spoke to them; it was these guys:

Hi guys,
I'm after some advice. I'm staying overnight in Portland and spending the days before and after on the jurassic coast to do a bit of walking and photography.
I'm looking at going to Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Kimmeridge Bay but i wondered if anyone knows of any little gems...
