I bought some a few years back and apart from 2 small wins just after I bought them - a big fat nothing but I keep hoping - probably should sell them and put into my ISA :shrug:

Only went for the 100 (a bit less bulky I felt) still fits loads in though (including lipstick!!!!!) and am itching to get out and try it! I figure that by the time I get all the lenses etc I want it will have worn out and I will be ready to upgrade to the suitcase version! :)

Just to let anyone who may be interested know... Went into a well known Camera retailer today -not sure if I'm allowed to say who, decided on the lowepro and bought it (incidentally was told buy the salesman that there's a 20% cashback offer) so I was happy to pay the price and claim cashback...

Thanks anyway though, with christmas looming my family won't have any trouble knowing what to get me!!!! Went out this evening really keen with new zoom lens and got NOWT as the light went & Rainclouds appeared as soon as I opened my bag!! :(

Just had to tell someone who's interested - am V excited because following much debate my first ever zoom lens arrived today!! 2 days too late for the Liverpool fireworks but am off out to practice (if I stay in the neighbours will think I'm spying).. Ended up buying a Pentax 50-200mm which...

Thanks sakura.. I did enjoy the display (till I saw my pics!) I did ask Liverpool City Council to delay the firework display till my new zoom lens arrived but I guess they decided to go ahead anyway! :lol:

Oh well, if I keep practicing one day I may get shots as good as all those, mine are on flickr but I feel a little embarrassed after seeing everyone's amazing pictures on here :(

Thats a fab idea, what kind of result do you get and are you pleased?? Would be interested to know. Have only had my K100d for about 4 weeks and am still at the 'have a go' and see what it turns out like! Am about to become a full time student again for a year and can't really afford the vast...

Oh I like it, it's just I tried taking some pics of the birds yesterday in the garden and I can't really see them without a magnifying glass! Couldn't get any closer cos the flippin things fly off!!! Love taking photos of wildlife but keep hitting the same problem, as soon as I get close...
