The reflector is reflected in their eyes!

Thanks Mik but I don't think I made myself clear enough. I agree ONE set of catch lights are lovely and I have these at the 11 oclock position on the eye....but my problem is that I also have the reflection of the reflector in the 3, 4 or 5 o'clock position on the other side of the eye....I can...

The reflector is reflected in their eyes!

Hello people, I bet this is a common problem that is very often encountered and yet I've seen no mention of it at all in any literiture. We know that we use a reflector to put some soft fill light back into the opposite side of the face to the key light and I have been using this very...

Can anyone recommend a West London Printer?

Hey People, Just wondered if anyone knows of any professional photographic printers in the West London area whom they can recommend? I'm shooting digital so they don't need to be a traditional lab but someone who is sensitive to the requirements of digital. I would use Photofusion who are in...

    Recommended Capture Software?

Hi people, I was wondering if there was a piece of useful software out there that allows you to shoot with a cable from your camera to the computer and show you the shot instantly...I can do this already using Canons Digital Photo Professional (DPP) but I want to do certain things I don't...

    Calling all tech heads!

Hey Stewart, Thanks for pasting the photo into the forum...not sure how you did that...have to work that one out! The image is completely untouched, except for the fact that I had to take it into photoshop, save it for the web as a jpeg and crop it. I shot is at ISO 100. I haven't increased the...

    Calling all tech heads!

Hey Stewart. I've uploaded photo. The best bit to look at is probably the forehead near the hairline where the transition of light is more gradual. Its difficult to see when the server limits the size but if you can't make it out I can crop even tighter and resend? Thanks Paul

    Calling all tech heads!

Thanks guys. I am experiencing this problem on a RAW file though. I was advised from another forum that its because I'm underexposing to achieve a low key effect but what I need to do is expose properly (because the majority of the 4096 levels in a 12 bit image are towards the highlights on the...

    Photographic licence agreement template?

Hey folks, Does anyone know if there is a template hanging about somewhere on the web for photographic licence rights? A legal agreement with blank fields that I can fill out with whichever model/actor etc so that I may have legal right to use the photos in my own publicity etc. I am not...

Does Digital Photo Professional by Canon keep image integrity?

Yes thanks Darryn, I see that the file is saved as a CR2 when I then open it in Bridge, after capturing in DPP. I was just thinking that DPP might use different, sub standard alagorithms and leave its interpretation of the image 'stamped' over the file for when Bridge opens it....Probably me...

Does Digital Photo Professional by Canon keep image integrity?

Yes maybe but I think it stipulates that I need the EOS utility viewer to run the most up to date Digital Photo Professional software...and I don't think this is free. Regardless, i'm afraid it still doesn't answer the question as to whether the image is completely unaltered simply from the act...

Does Digital Photo Professional by Canon keep image integrity?

Hello all, I have just resurrected a rather old copy of Digital Photo Professional on my relatively new iMAC (5 months old) because I want to be able to shoot portraits from my 20D and have them instantly come up on my screen (and also save to my external hard drive hooked up to my mac). After...
