    Sigma 150-600 S vs C

Doesnt autofocus through the shutter button with the converter but does on the rear touch screen for some reason. I found it more than adequate on all occasions and the AF is every bit as fast as my old EX 50-500mm. I have used the dock for customising the AF and OS system which works great and...

    Sigma 150-600 S vs C

These were taken with the `C` at 600mm wide open. Over the moon with it after getting it in June to replace my old Sigma EX 50-500mm. The last shot of the Little Ringed Plover was with the Sigma 1.4x converter attached. Red Grouse by Mike Warburton Photography, on Flickr Wild Boar by Mike...

    Sigma 150-600mm contemporary

Thanks for the replies all, much appreciated. I am not too bothered as it will only be used for static stuff anyway for which shooting via live view isnt a problem.

    Sigma 150-600mm contemporary

This Little Ringed Plover was taken this morning with the Sigma and my Canon 70d along with the TC-1401 Teleconverter. It wont autofocus through the shutter button but will on live view with the touch screen. Does anyone know that if by updating the firmware (after purchasing the USB dock) it...

Sigma EX 50-500mm HSM.Light enough to carry around with a good focal range and almost silent autofocus.Good image quality too and cheap as chips!

What unusual photo jobs have you done ?

I think the strangest photo job I have undertaken was taking macro shots of different levels of discolouration on Sirloin Steak!

    What bird Hide

I bought it about a year ago I think and the `windows` are double skinned. The outer flap being the solid camo material and an inner flap of mesh.If you look at the shot showing inside the hide you can see that I have the outer solid patterned flap dropped down but the inner mesh flap up so I can...

    What bird Hide

I have used that one but as it is designed for shooting unless you are using a very long prime lens it is impossible to shoot whilst sitting comfortably. The flap is just too far away for the end of the lens to reach but I use a Sigma 50-500mm which is quite short.I tend to have to lean forward...

    HDR

Thanks.I know a lot like the garrish look but I use HDR to get as natural a look as possible and I just found that with filters in mountainous areas I couldnt achieve this.

    HDR

I use Dynamic HDR for my high contrast landscape work such as sunrises etc and then finish off in CS2.I stopped using filters years ago as I didnt like the way the hard edged grad would put a definitive dark shadow along the tops of the mountains whilst trying to hold back the sky. This is how I...
