There's a Comet near where I live and that doesn't even sell new Nikon Dslr's or Lens... but does sell other brands - not a happy bunny, I love my Nikon stuff :(

Well some interesting advice there - thanx all. I won't upgrade to the D5100 as I've got it into my head that it's the D7000 or nothing. I'll probably miss the rotating screen a bit but in the year that I've had my D5000 I've only used it once or twice, so nowt drastic I guess. I will get one...

I love portrait photography and macro mostly, and my budget would be around £400-450 if I were to replace the 2 x standard lenses. Since I got my prime lens it has hardly been off my camera. I use my 55-200 mostly after the prime lens. Michelle
