Motorist faces jail for assaulting cyclist

If you read what I wrote again, I didn't mention breaking the rules for s***s and giggles, I mentioned making mistakes. Which is the point - mistakes should not cost lives, but regularly do when motorists are introduced into the equation. If you drive (or cycle) for convenience, then you are...

Motorist faces jail for assaulting cyclist

It's all from the DFT, the pdfs are online, I chose not to post those as they are pretty solid with data. But you'll have to take it up with them/read the pdf. As 10% tolerance etc, you, me and every motorist are aware of this, drive at 25-29mph if its an issue. All cases? No. Most cases...

Motorist faces jail for assaulting cyclist

Don't get me started on Norwich! ;P BTW, love your work Andy, super stuff. Anyway, back on topic. Im pretty much of the opinion that all road user break the rule in equal measure. And the few articles I've read on the subject more or less confirm this. That said, the difference between...

copying work process to other photos

In camera raw - to the far right where you can make edits you'll see a little rectangle (its made of of 4 lines ontop of each other). Click that and goto "Save settings". The you can reload those setting into other images. Or better yet, use LR, this sort of thing is what LR excels at.

    Beginner Polarising filters (again)

I have individual polariser on each of my 5 lenses - I find this works better than having a single large polariser that you have to move from lens to lens every time you change lenses... You can even add a Lee filter adapter to them and generally speaking it makes life a lot easier.

    Sleeping in the car

Do it all the time, have a Mazda 5 - with the rear seats down you can get about 6x4 ft flat area at the back. I also own two Season 3 sleeping bags which I turn into a double sleeping bag. Works a treat. I would say I sleep better in populated areas. You car seems to go unnoticed when...

    Anyone listen to audiobooks?

Not sure what option that is, but Ive signed up to Audable, on the "24 book annual membership" option that for £109 gives me 24 credits that I can use at any time on any book. 1 Credit is 1 book. Its brilliant btw.

    When cyclists attack

Or..go round the right where there is space to overtake/filter :) That's the point of filtering. To find the gaps to advance your journey. While cyclists and motorbike riders are taught it it's not going anywhere. And is the expected thing todo as a result of that. Being a knob and breaking...

    When cyclists attack

overtaking on the right is safer as its the driver side and they are more likely to see you. Also, on the right is usually an mostly empty road not a tight gap that's usually found on the left between cars. From experience those who overtake on the right are usually the fit and confident ones...

    When cyclists attack

of course you can. Both illustrate how casual we are with breaking the rules when it suits us. Past that we can also compare the harm it does, and we know the figures too. Not just for speeding but also the deaths caused by cars that mount the pavement.

    When cyclists attack

Pretty sure the HWC says check mirrors when going from stationary to moving. There is no caveats for not doing so when at the lights. Filtering is also legal, and as such motorists need to be aware of it. if a cyclist gets caught he to can have an on the spot fine. As for the insurance issue...
