    Lightroom 3 Launched

I really thought that they would add border options on export this time around..... or perhaps I've missed it? Mogrify still required it seems.

    New Born Shoot!

Hi Fellas, I have a very "baby" few months ahead. My sister gave birth on Monday to a little girl, and my first born is due on the 25th of April. As such, I'm looking for some basic tips to getting some shots to be proud of. I'm visiting my new niece on Friday, so want to have a preflight...

    Lightroom JPG Export Issues

Hiya, Thanks for your response. Correct me if i'm wrong, but it shouldn't matter what you view the JPG in - it will look the same everywhere? You see to me, there is a significant difference between what I'm seeing in Lightroom, and what I see once its converted in to a JPG. The...

    Lightroom JPG Export Issues

Hi All, This is driving me insane... perhaps one of you guys might have the answer..... I’ve been getting more and more frustrated with my shots after I export them to JPG. In Lightroom I get them looking “just so”, however after exporting to JPG I seem to lose way too much...

    DSLR failure

When my d90 arrived I spent 3 solid days taking photos of nothing but my desk, and the things on it in my home office! Every single option in the menu I have tweaked, taken a few photos to see what that did, tweaked again... some more photos, tweak again..... This attitude + the...

    My Pc and FTP

    Lost in the woods....

I figured the best way to develop this was soft vulnerable baby vs big bad forest! My edit is probably a bit too dark looking at it again.

    Lost in the woods....

Hi All, This is my first ever bash at photo processing.... and in reality my first ever trip out with a DSLR. Photo was taken earlier today at Centre Parks, when our friends 18 month old ran off down the path without us! Opportunistic shot, so had no time at all to think about composure...

My First Trip Out With a DSLR - D90 ISO Settings

Cheers for the comments guys - really appreciated. Focal length was 170mm, and guess I was probably about 8 meters away? Just seemed kind of right when I was composing!

My First Trip Out With a DSLR - D90 ISO Settings

Hello All, Well today is my third day of owning a DSLR camera! Picked up a D90 and 18-200 VR lens on Friday :). Had two nights surfing buttons and menus to death, and finally had some time to get out the front door with it this afternoon. So here I am with my first question for the pro's...

    Nikon 18-200 VR Question

Evening All, Quick question, am investing in my first DSLR at the moment, and have settled on a D90 and an 18-200 lens. Question is, there is a new version of this lens with "VR II". Is this worth the extra cash, or shall I save my cash? Improvement over the VR I noticable? Cheers, Matt

Putting a kit together - advice please

Hi, I'm doing the same as you at the moment, been reading books for an age and finally decided to get some decent kit. I've decided on the D90, and the 18-200 VRII, which i'm lead to believe is a pretty awesome lens for the money. Still a good wedge more expensive than the 18-105 or...
