i hang my 100-440 canon off the camera strap..... is this a really bad idea then? should i get one of these other straps too?

50mm on a crop sensor is defiently a bit long, which is a shame as the 50mm prime is a great little performer- its just a bit tight so doesnt get used as much as it should....... think ill go put it back on the camera actually .. make myself take some more with it!

the canon 70-300 i had was so soft as to be unuseable over 200mm. id look for something else if you want to use it over 200...

I had the canon 70-300 f4-5.6 is usm for a while. I liked it when i had it BUT my copy was very very soft over 200mm. so much so that the results were often/usually unuseable. it had to be stopped down to f8 to get a bit sharp at 200mm. with the benefit of hindsight i would have got the...

fundamentally if you want to help japan out then buy some japanese made goods- especially expensive high ticket price items. The humanitarian issues are obvious- what isnt soobvious is the rest of the country that needs to feed itself as well as those in need.To do this they gonna need money...
