    Spyder 2 Question?

I would guess Chris means Spyder 2 won't calibrate two screens attached to the same computer. I have a Spyder 2 and I've had no problem calibrating separate screens on separate pc's.

    Do you . . .

At work it took me a while to realise that "FFS" in documents actually meant "For Further Study" :D It's not the talking to myself that worries me... it's when the arguments start

Weird. Just ordered a set via ebay and it now says 40 sold (including mine) and 1 set still available. Maybe he's found a few more sets that were hiding at the back of the cupboard

D300 Owners Thread - Anything related to the D300!

Just thought I'd post a little 'gotcha' that caught me out last night in case it's of help to anyone else. I thought the AF assist light had broken as it wouldn't work even though it was turned on in the menu (a9) and conditions were very dark :suspect: After trying a few things without...

    Treat myself - What Monitor?

:plusone: for Dell Ultrasharp™ 2209WA 22-Inch, great for the price and note it's an IPS panel which tends to give better colour/viewing angles than TN panels.

And if you set e.g. continuous shooting (CL) and set with shutter button locked open using a remote, you can walk away and leave the camera to take pictures only when something is in focus like when a bird lands in the focus zone to feed. Possibly not recommended at a high fps though :D

    which lens: Nikon 18-105vr, 18-200vr, 24-120vr, 16-85vr & tamron 28-75 f2.8

Are you sure it's not the VR working that you can hear? Mine makes a sort of whirring while VR is active.

    Monitor for Post Processing.

I have a Dell 2209WA (note the WA not W) which has a 22 inch E-IPS panel and is much better than my Dell TN monitor. Certainly worth a look IMHO and can be had for about £220 e.g. here

    D300...Got one!

Congratulations Barney12, just got myself one at that price, could resist no longer :D Mine had 18 shutter actuations on it when I checked, but looked pristine and all the bits were stored separately so none of them had been used. I found a 1GB card in it when I got home, an unexpected bonus...

Well done Tracer, I'm really happy with mine, only had it a day but the controls feel much better than the D80, I don't think it's just psychological, although that could have a bit to do with it :D Just need a bit of decent weather so I can get out and practice using it.

I imagine there are one or two kind souls on TP who would generously do you a straight swap of their D300 for your D700  I have fitted the OpTech strap from my D80, as you say, it's somewhat more discrete than the yellow/black Nikon one and more comfy too. Sounds like the hot shoe...
