Whats the difference between these 3 Macbooks

i think the new version came out back in june (looks pretty much the same as the JL one, but with a slightly faster processor). tbh, the £999 looks a decent enough deal. But you mentioned imovie in your original post: if you're planning on editing any 4K content, then maybe a different, more...

Whats the difference between these 3 Macbooks

i have a new macbook pro 13 inch laptop w/touchbar. I like it, and i guess i'm pretty happy with it (partic the screen), but it's not without its failings. It has four USB-C ports, and the number of times i curse myself for not having an adapter with me is getting embarrassing. The touchbar i...

    Godox AD200

@mike weeks i was wondering, did the ad200 you received kit come with the wee barndoors and filters accessories that ive seen in some of the photos, or was it just the basic light by itself.

    Scotland Edinburgh

yea, calton hill is a definite go-to location, and be sure to walk around the hill as there are a lot of different angles on to the city; arthurs seat is very good as well (although tbh, you might be better just walking up the nearby crags and parkland rather than hiking to the very top...

Can someone check this before I buy? Please :-)

one thing to bear in mind before forking out all that money on the 85mm f1.2 is that it seems likely a new canon 85mm lens is coming out this year. http://www.canonrumors.com/canon-ef-85mm-f1-4l-is-usm-on-the-way-cr3/ judging by the gazillion reviews out there, the current f1.2 is undoubtedly...

4tb or bigger hard drive suggestions please..

Ah apologies, didnt realise it was a fully fledged nas you had already. yea, adding in a second drive sounds like a good option, as no need to transfer over system files or reinstall the OS onto the new drive, but i guess it depends how quickly your total internal storage will exceed your total...

4tb or bigger hard drive suggestions please..

Ooops, sorry, didnt read the blurb, i just saw the word cloud and thought it meant it was stored offsite. tbh, your solution is really gonna depend on how much you want to spend and how much you expect your needs to grow, and how much the photos on the drive mean to you. The WD box is fine as...

What would be in your camera bag for New York?

lynda.com is now £12.95 a month, but that gets you access to everything for the month (for me personally, i found the courses really helpful, but i'm just learning tbh) https://www.lynda.com/signup?lpk35=8006

4tb or bigger hard drive suggestions please..

I'v gotta say, the WD+cloud deal mentioned above sounds pretty good - only thing I'd doublecheck is that WD don't introduce additional fees or similar after the first year for the cloud storage (hopefully not, as 3TB is tiny in cloud terms nowadays, butbetter safe than sorry). I kinda think...

4tb or bigger hard drive suggestions please..

If you already have amazon prime at home, then one of the benefits it offers is free unlimited photo storage on amazon drive ; well, it's "free" assuming you are a current amazon prime user. If you want to store more than photos, its £55 pa if you want to use it for all types of files. I'll be...

Suggestions for tackling scenes with a wide dynamic range

hi, i just wanted to thank you both for talking some sense into me. i realise i've blown this out of proportion. i) there's no need to make this complicated by introducing different modifiers and god knows what else ii) even if i do screw up, no one can say i didnt warn them cheers for the...

Suggestions for tackling scenes with a wide dynamic range

@Scirocco_09 thanks for the link - that's a good one. In fact, as you can see from my third photo (with flash) I stupidly left the ISO high, which blew out the background a bit (which was the main thing i was trying to avoid, in using flash). I'm guessing its precisely the type of mistake an...
