All depends what time you are planning to get there. After half 6 a lot of spaces start becoming available.

I would say go for the canon if you can mate.. Its a well built bit of kit that works well.

I think the nissin is much better than the jessops IMO.

I liked the Tamron 17 50 2.8 non VC lens as a upgrade. It's a different level to the kit lens in MHO. Reasonable price as well.
