Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?! :naughty: Mind you, could be a bit painful...

Is it possible to buy a cheap, decent acoustic?

Second hand is definitely the right way to go, you'll get a lot more instrument for your money. Good luck with finding a decent instrument, hopefully the wait won't be too long!

New PC, should I just buy a Mac?

Sorry this is going a bit o/t - Neil I hadn't realised that, I have to admit to being a bit out of touch with recent hardware developments. Anyway, it's good news that the major players are pulling in the same direction.

New PC, should I just buy a Mac?

The OS argument is always an interesting one, I do think Windows has a distinct disadvantage though in the breadth of hardware (ignoring any USB devices) it is expected to support - Apple only have a comparatively small subset of hardware to work with. Then of course you can always throw in...

Is it possible to buy a cheap, decent acoustic?

Unfortunately at the cheaper end of the guitar market there can be quite a bit of variability in the build quality so it would be worth finding someone who plays already to help you choose an instrument. I've played some real dogs of guitars that cost more than £40 and also some pretty...

New PC, should I just buy a Mac?

as a long time PC user who only got his first mac a couple of years ago I'd say the switch has saved me a lot of headaches in terms of maintaining windows etc. The mac os is just so much better thought out than any version of windows up to XP (haven't used anything more recent). Also, two...

    Prop Blur

you'll need a longish shutter speed to get some blur, try starting at 1/60th and go longer from there. In case you don't know, put your camera into shutter speed priority (S) and it should take care of the other settings for you.

    Formatt Filters

I've got the formatt filters as well, my only negative was it took them nearly a month to ship out as they didn't have something in stock but nobody thought to tell me until I gave them a call... anyway, good product so I'm happy now. In terms of size, the grads are rectangular (i.e.150x100)...

    Auto bracketing

if you go into the interval shooting menu (can't quite remember where it is as don't have camera in front of me) you can set it up to take however many shots, a fraction of a second apart. Unfortunately you have to go back through the menu's each time to set if off but it is quite easy and at...

Sigma or Nikon lenses for Landscape Photography

What is your budget? I don't know anything about those lenses myself but someone may be able to suggest a reasonable alternative in the same price range?

    STOLEN D3s + D300s & more :(

That's terrible news and should be a lesson to all of us not to have "Home" programmed into our SatNav's! Or of course, set Home as the local plod to catch these b*st***s out :police:

What size square ND Filters for 5d Mark II - 24mm to 200mm?

No worries. Also just noticed your other question re the filter types on the formatt website... you want the stills filters. tbh, if you have the 85mm holder I'd be tempted to buy a cheap adaptor ring and filter just to see how well it works and go from there.
