Heads Up to iPhone and Apple Watch Owners

I'll be interested to hear how your 5 runs with the new IOS installed. My 6 seems to be snappier and quicker with it on, and I like the new features. However a pal has asked if he should update his 5, but I can't really advise on the strength of how a 6 is behaving.

Heads Up to iPhone and Apple Watch Owners

Thanks, but it's the bottom (+) list with the green buttons that I would like to be able to customise so that I have a list of my own widgets to choose from. What's in there now seems to be a random choice that I can't see how to edit to my taste.

Heads Up to iPhone and Apple Watch Owners

I like the widget page that's available with a swipe L to R, handy for quick access to frequently used apps. The only problem is it contains a lot of stuff I don't use often, and little that I would like there, eg Phone, Messages etc. I've searched but can find no way to edit the list, to either...

    iPhone 7

You don't save a penny, unfortunately. Take for example a 32gb 7plus with Apple care - £719 + £119 = £838. The same phone on Apple finance is £49 deposit + £789(20x £39.45) = £838. You can also buy them on this scheme without the Apple care. At least the phone will be unlocked and you can use a...

    Photobucket app problem

I've just realised that there was an update to this app on the 23rd that I hadn't applied. I just tried another re-install after deleting from both devices yesterday and it's working on both devices now, so presumably the problem was to do with the update somehow.

    Photobucket app problem

Thanks for that, mine are still resolutely buggered! When you open your working apps, is there some kind of delete button that I may have accidentally hit, and that I can't see now?

    Photobucket app problem

I've always found that the Photobucket app was a lot easier and quicker to use on my iPhone and iPad than accessing the website, until yesterday that is. For some reason I can no longer see my library, on both devices. Just a blank page. The app still tells me my usage, ie. 12% used, but no...

Travel tripod / gorillapod / what else?

I use a Tamrac Zipshot with my Canon G12, which weighs just over 400g. I bought it after trying a relative's, I don't think I would have otherwise, but for this size of camera it is extremely portable and works very well, obviously taking it's limitations into consideration. The legs have a...

    iOS 8.1 is out

Can I ask which model of iPad please? I'm still on the last version of 7 on my 3 and I'm loathe to upgrade until I know it will work properly.

10 stop ND filter, circular or square?

I carry a circular 10 stopper from SRB in my bag all the time in case something catches my eye that needs it. If I go out with a definite shot in mind then I put my Lee kit in the bag. I've never had a problem with composing and focussing then screwing the filter on. I do slide the switch from...

Canon 5D MK I 'classic' - owners thread

I've had time for a couple of quick attempts with the 5D I bought from the forum recently ( I just have time to nip into town twixt dad's taxis ) I have to say I like the comparative simplicity of the camera, compared to a 7D and 1DMkIII. The rainbows were handheld with a 24-105L, and the third...

Anyone into Urban Exploring? - What camera bag?

I have a Kata 3N1-30, which can be changed from a conventionally carried rucksack to a left of right sided sling pack in seconds. This is good for carrying gear about comfortably over a distance, then converting to sling when on site. You can slide it from your back to your front, get your...
