Has anybody used the Viltrox 27mm f/1,2 Pro on a modern Fuji body here? I'd love to here about how you found it, and what the autofocus performance was like, compared to native lenses, especially for video. I appreciate it can be body dependant; I have an X-H2S for reference.

Get a crucial M4 SSD, not worth taking the risk on Sandforce controllers in my experience. Firmware 0009 increases the speed on the M4 drive aswell. I'm not sure I'd bother with SSD cache if I had an SSD boot drive.

In most cases, if you make sure you set the sata mode on the new laptop to the same as the dead one (AHCI or IDE/Legacy mode), then it will more than likely work. (if they are both SATA). However, newer hard drives are quicker, and you get a clean install of your OS which is always preferable...

Use the NAS to backup the laptop, not as a single means of storage... I must say we do get through portable hard drives at an alarming rate, but they are used alot for imaging client machines, and then I transport them in my cycle bag, so probably my own fault. :(

I would get a NAS with 2 drives fitted in RAID 1 mode. It all depends on how important the data is to you. @mid_gen - we have had 3 Toughdrives die on use this year :'(, currently using seagate Go Flex drives.
