    Think I understand the problem now, it's to do with my Windows file structure - I seem to have acquired duplicate Application Data folders and other system folders after windows was reinstalled a few months ago, each containing different versions of data and the scripts are looking in the wrong...

    Of course, can't reinstall Bridge without reinstalling the whole master collection suite, so having another try at reinstalling PS with firewalls switched off per Adobe advice. May get there in the end! Thx

    Have reset preferences in both and still have same problem. Will try a Bridge reinstall and see if that works.

    Not new files or new locations (happens whatever files I try) and this happened a while ago (have been using my laptop as alternative) and only now getting back to it, to try to sort it .. so can't use restore soln.... trying another reinstall. Will have a look at Fastone .. many thanks guys!

    Hi, I was reommended the site by Simon Owens and so far looks great! Hoping to get really focused on my photography over next few months and sure I'll be looking for lots of advice. :wave:
