Olympus 75-300 mkII vs Panasonic 100-300mk II

At the Black Fox. There were varying opinions expressed on here some to go for the Olympus and some to go for the Panasonic. I have weighed up these opinions and considered them against the reviews I have read. These constructive comments were welcome. Your recent comment adds nothing to this...

Olympus 75-300 mkII vs Panasonic 100-300mk II

I am leaning towards the Panasonic for two main reasons. First it is faster and second it is considered the sharper of the two lenses. The EM1 has excellent IBIS so the loss of Panasonic lens IS is no big deal - at least not for me. The downside of the Panasonic is it is quite a bit dearer...

Olympus 75-300 mkII vs Panasonic 100-300mk II

Thanks for the comments. There is always a balance to be drawn when making a decision what to purchase. Every review I have read says that the Panasonic is much sharper at the long end. A most important factor to consider. Dual stabilization is not really a factor as Olympus lenses don’t have...

Olympus 75-300 mkII vs Panasonic 100-300mk II

I have heard that before but as they are both M4/3 lenses surely they are both designed to fit M4/3 bodies. I can understand the arguments re in body and on lens IS but you can turn on lens IS off so surely there should be no conflict. What functions would I lose?

Or simply an opinion which is the better.

Olympus 75-300 mkII vs Panasonic 100-300mk II

I am trying to decide between these two lenses to go with my EM1 mk III for wild life photography. I have read the reviews and watched the videos but I am always suspicious of who is sponsoring the reviewer. Does anyone have real life experience of using these two who can provide an impartial...

Answered Unable to access my account due to password problems caused by Lastpass

Following the recent press publicity I decided to change some passwords using LastPass. I tried to log onto my account (user name Llewellyn or Llewellyn47) and I could not as the new password saved by Lastpass was incorrect. I tried the forgotten password option but it asked me for my email...

A great piece of software especially for noise reduction but I find it so unbearably slow!

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

I want to increase my reach capabilitiy. At present the best I can do is my 40-150 + MC-14 giving a 420mm equivalent. FYI they are on an EM1 mark II if that is relevant. I am debating whether I should buy an MC-20 for my 40-150 giving 600mm equivalent or buy an Olympus 75-300 which gives the...

Best way to set up hardware on new PC for lightroom?

I have always kept the operating system and all programs on the boot drive (usually C). All data files including photos go on a separate drive. I would put the files you are working on on an SSD drive which will load them faster and use the 3TB as a back up drive for all your data. Being...
